Starstruck Picnic

Here is my picnic size Starstruck.  I am going to stop at this size, because that's all the fabric I have and a queen is too big for my purposes.  Now I am going to prepare the backing and start planning the quilting.

Star Struck Quilt Along - Lap Size

Moving right along.  The picture doesn't look as good as the actual quilt.  This is the lap portion of the Star Struck quilt.

Progress on Projects

I have completed this week's Starstruck Baby quilt phase.

This is a project I have been taking far too long to complete.  It is beautiful, but I feel some of my limited skills cause it to look less attractive than it could.  This is Brilliant Beauties of Joy by Jacqueline de Jonge.  This is probably around 1/3 or the quilt.  I am determined to finish it, because I love how it looks, I just wish I was a bit more skilled at insetting the pieces.

I am working on this month's assignment for the Mosaic Mystery Quilt found at Meadow Mist Designs.  This is September's progress.

I also hope to make major progress on my leaders/enders quilt - Rick Rack Nines designed by Bonnie K. Hunter.  Here's where I am at right now.  All of the blocks are pieced, now I am piecing the quilt.  The thing that most amazes me is how many different fabrics are in this.

What I Have Been Sewing?

I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago complete with photos of things I had sewn this year.  Somehow it failed to get published and disappeared into the cyber abyss.  I will try to do a recap here, but the photos will be a little less than ideal.

Piano lessons are a great reason to make these bags.

I have done several pattern tests.
I just completed a scrap quilt with a pieced back that really helped me get rid of some of my scraps that I will likely never use.  I will get photos of that up soon.  Below is a teaser.

The fabrics below are for the Mosaic Mystery Quilt by Meadow Mist Designs.  I have the first step sewn, but I did not get a picture of that yet.

Progess in the Quilt Along

This is the wall hanging faze of the #StarStruckQuiltAlong.  I am really liking how things are looking thus far.  Melissa's directions are very nice and clear.  She has lots of pictures that make it easy to follow.  I am looking forward to the next phase.

Quilt Along

I started this quilt along from Melissa Corry at happyquiltingmelissa.com.  Here are the fabrics I have selected and cut.
