Creating Things Brings Joy to Both the Maker and the Receiver

I made a bunch of masks early on during this pandemic.  They used up a lot of my fabric stash that had been unused for years.  I finished a very detailed quilt and I made a stocking for my son who is serving a mission for the Lord.  I made homemade gift bags and several quilts.  Each one brought me joy as I though about the person for whom the project was intended or felt relief at accomplishing a difficult or tedious project.

My first English Paper Piecing project.

The dinosaur print is 3D.

I had to buy this kit for In the Beginning fabrics.

When your son and his friends play D&D and you know you have to make a second quilt.

This quilt is fuzzy and glorious.  Brother Bear from Shannon Fabrics.
Jacqueline De Jonge's Brilliant Beauties of Joy was quite a project, but beautiful.

The idea for these came from Aunt Em's Quilts.
